Thinking, Fast and Slow

This is a solid book by noble prize winner Daniel Kahnemann. It brings together the findings of a career researching the fundamentals of rational behavior.

The key idea is that our brain is wired in two fundamentally different ways: it shoots fast answers that are often wrong in a lot of ways. And we slowly check these fast answers to ensure they are right.

Once you accept this model of thinking, it has a lot of implications on your perspectives of the world and of work. E.g. how to set up projects in error tolerant ways or how to understand markets where consumers as well as investors fail to act rationally.

The book is still a recommendation. You can order it from Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
